On July 17, 2018, the SIAS jointly held a seminar on US homeland security and foreign strategy, together with the Institute of China Studies at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS). Professor Wang Yuwei, Director of the Center for Terrorism Studies at Central Police University in Taiwan, visited the SIAS and gave a keynote speech “the Evolution of US Homeland Security Strategy”.

Academics from the Center for American Studies at Fudan University and the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) joined the SIAS research staff at the meeting. Those who participated shared their analysis on Trump’s foreign policy strategy, global counter terrorism policy, cyber security strategy, as well as the US factor in Cross-Strait Relations, among other issues.
