SIAS hosts seminar on Trump’s Asia policy and implications for China

On January 18, 2017, the SIAS held a seminar on US President-elect Donald Trump’s Asia policy and implications for China. Experts from Fudan University, Shanghai International Studies University, Tongji University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, as well as the SIAS research staff attended the meeting. Participants shared views on Trump’s Asia policy, particularly on issues in the Korean Peninsula, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific Region. They also analyzed Trump’s personal features, his proposed cabinet candidates and how Trump’s Asia policy might affect US-Russia and US-China relations.
