On July 29, 2020, SIAS held a seminaron biometric identification and counter terrorism. Academics from Fudan University, Tongji University, Shanghai International Studies University and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences talked about the development of biometric identification and its implications, as well ascounter terrorism in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, among other topics. Part of SIAS research staff joined them in the meeting.
