Following the release of the fulltext of China-US phase-one trade deal on January16, 2020,  SIASheld a seminar to evaluate the trade agreement on the same day. After a detailedinterpretation of the agreement, participants agreed that the trade deal is positive to stabilizingChina-US relations and promoting the global economy, and further analyzed the potential risks in the deal’s enforcement. Academics from theShanghai Federation of Social Science Associations (SFSSA), Fudan University,the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), the Shanghai Academyof Social Sciences (SASS), and the Shanghai Development Research Foundation(SDRF) joined SIAS research staff at the meeting.
